Manchester Town Hall Wedding Photography Slideshow

The slideshow above contains a selection of photographs from a wedding I covered at Manchester Town Hall on 27th March.

The bride and groom, Fran and Richard, are friends of mine so it was an honour to cover their special day for them.

I will post some more shots from their wedding soon.

Norton Grange Hotel Wedding Feedback from Karen & Gary

As I mentioned in an earlier post I was the photographer for my sister Karen's wedding in October last year at the Norton Grange Hotel in Rochdale. Although Karen and her husband Gary have thanked me personally, Karen also sent me the lovely comment below last week. Congratulations again Karen and Gary - you are perfect for each other!!
We always knew the photographs from our wedding would be important to us, but I did not expect them to become so very precious. They are so much more than just photographs as they capture all the emotion of the day so you can relive each moment when you look at them. We have sat together looking over them again and again and never get bored!
As Neil is my brother, I felt incredibly selfish having him take our photographs, but I knew nothing else would compare. I looked at other wedding photographers on the internet and at wedding fairs to try and not ruin the day for Neil, but I just couldn't find anything that seemed as perfect.
Neil's professionalism is phenomenal (controlling a crowd of 150 guests champagne fuelled guests must be no easy feat!), but he made sure every photo we asked for was taken. It is of no surprise to myself or Gary that Neil was recently won his SWPP wedding photography award, every photo captures a moment rather than a image.

Wedding Photography Showcase 2008

2008 has been a great year for me. I have photographed lots of great weddings, including my first destination wedding in Cyprus. The couples I have worked with throughout the year have all been lovely and have made my job so enjoyable, so thank you to each of you.

I have also launched my new wedding photography website this year (www.neilredfern.net) which will be taking over from my existing www.neilredfern.com domain in the New Year.

The slideshow above contains some of my favourite wedding photographs from the year. To view the slideshow just click on the icon in the middle of the frame.

Many thanks again to all my clients for making 2008 such an enjoyable and successful year for me, I wish you all a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. Neil

New full day wedding slideshow added to www.neilredfern.com

Following on from my earlier post I have now added a new page to my website entitled 'all day wedding slideshow' which, suprisingly enough, is a slideshow featuring photographs from a recent wedding I covered for which I was booked for the entire day.

The slideshow contains over 120 photographs and will hopefully give interested couples a good idea of the range and variety of photographs I would typically take on full day wedding shoot. I hope you all find the slideshow not only enjoyable, but also useful, as to view so many photographs from a single wedding will hopefully give you a better idea of my photographic style.

To view the slideshow please click on the 'full day wedding slideshow' tab at www.neilredfern.com

I would also recommend listening to the music which accompanies the slideshow, I think it's a lovely song.

Enjoy the show!

New slideshow for homepage of my website

As you may have already noticed, I have today introduced a new slideshow to the homepage of my main site - www.neilredfern.com - and added a smaller version to the top right area of this blog page.

As well as utilising over lots of my favourite wedding photographs in the 3 minute show, it also includes music.

The software that I purchased to produce the show includes a number of royalty free pieces of music that you can incorporate in to each slideshow and the really nice thing about it is that the images actually change in time with the music, which, as far as I'm aware is feature unique to this software.

It was tempting to go with a faster, rockier track but ultimately I felt the slower, more romantic piano track was more fitting for a wedding photography site!

Going forward I also plan to use this software to produce an online slideshow of each wedding I cover, so as well as viewing their photographs online as usual, each couple will also be able to view a slideshow of their day set to music. As with their photographs, each couple will then also be able to email a link to the show to their family and friends. I'm confident that this will prove to be a very popular way for couples to share their photos.

I hope you enjoy the slideshow.
